Salary Survey Report
The first Carolinas Center survey of provider clinical salaries is complete! Printed copies of the report contain summaries of the low, mid and high ranges for clinical staff positions and selected administrative jobs. These data are also presented by state, by hospice census, by budget size and several other useful parameters. This current salary information can help providers with budgeting staff recruitment and compensation planning.
The report is available in a hard copy format and each participating hospice will receive a copy in the mail this month. Participating Members may purchase additional copies for $25.00; participating Non-Members may purchase additional copies for $50.00; and all others, (Member and Non-Member Non-participants) may purchase a copy for $350.00, additional copies for $150.00.
Special thanks to all who completed the survey and to those who helped design the survey tool. The salary survey work group included Carolinas Center members John Garmon, Debbie Hare, Crystal Bollinger, Crystal Spillman, Eddie Faw and Lanita Garret. Dr. Bob Oldendick and the University of South Carolina Institute for Public Service and Policy Research also did a great job in conducting the survey and preparing the reports.
Isn't It Time We Talk? How to plan for your care of the end of life...a guide to advance care planning.
This guide to advance care planning, developed in collaboration with other end of life experts across the Carolinas, is now available from The Carolinas Center. The planning guide is a step-by-step workbook designed to help individuals and families plan for the care they want at the end of life.
The guide's front and back pockets were designed to hold advance directive forms and other information.The guide includes:
- Specific information about treatment options
- Thought-provoking questions about values and goals
- Tips for discussing the choices made
- and a thorough explanation of advance directives

Hospice Referral Cards
Originally designed as a resource for hospital discharge planners, these two-sided sheets provide helpful information for all potential referral sources. One side includes a comprehensive description of the hospice Medicare and Medicaid benefits; the other lists admission criteria, services provided under hospice care, and the four major differences between traditional health care and hospice care. Printed on coated cardstock, these sheets make a great leave behind piece for your education calls. Please inquire about custom printing.
